On an aside note, they are still classifying the South Alabama games as conference games. Once they notice their error, I expect it will make a slight difference in the Cajun's score.

Not an error. For purposes of NCAA selection committee analysis and RPI calculations (NC RPI, NC SOS, etc.), the South Alabama games are considered conference games and these contribute to the Cajuns' conference record when being evaluated by the selection committee. As such, the Cajuns are 16-12 in conference play in the eyes of the committee.
Conference postseason tournament games also contribute to this conference record.

Unfortunately, Cajuns are done. Can’t say it was a fun season to watch. Although, I do have to say that the team never quit and was pretty gritty, just not good enough. They are a slightly above average team, which won’t be good enough to make post season this year. Hopefully, we have some talented recruits coming in on both the offensive side and pitching wise, and we have a new hitting coach. Here’s to next season.
If we sweep Monroe we the 2 seed. Unlikely but that is the mathematics of it. Otherwise we will be a top 6 seed and will play a winner of a first round game. Regardless of our seed we don’t have the pitching depth to win a tourney. And that’s just the facts. Too much inconsistency all year and have not been able to solve that issue yet. We would have to pitch close to perfect or hit our way thru it and despite the improvement in the second half, it’s just not going to be good enough.
With a real life hitting coach Lahare, Cantrelle, Bourgeois, Kasuls, Lott can be dangerous. Let's hope they get that chance next year.
