Louisiana Hosts South Alabama In Rare Non-Conference Baseball Series

Coming off of an extra innings win over in-state foe LSU, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will host South Alabama in a rare non-conference series starting Friday at 6:30 p.m. at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

I think their lefty going in the Saturday game - Zach Melton - is the guy that totally shut us down last year - South Alabama won the middle game 6-0.

Will be interesting to see how much we improve... ;-)

Maybe since some batters tend to be behind fastballs this soft throwing lefty could be good... ???

Baseball teams don't play every team in conference every year, and this so happens to be one that we don't play them. Robe and South AL skipper decided to play each other anyway.

Which is boneheaded (on the conference’s part). This Mickey Mouse league should understand that the Cajuns vs South AL series should be an automatic conference series every year for the two teams.
