The suit is a good analogy. The problem is I already have a few suits UL has made me buy. Why is UL making me buy another one for a bunch of games I am not interested in. I know charging more is the best way to grow our budget, but right now UL football is not a good value. I will be interested to see how attendance goes this year. I think we will not see the increases many of us are expecting because of the increased cost.
I only go to one game a year(zero last year) even though I have season tickets. At least my rcaf donation gave me a parking pass. UL is fighting for entertainment dollars and right now I think they are at the limit for what they can reasonably charge for the product they are delivering.
Cusa or preferably AAC membership. I was ok with the SBC a few years ago, but now everything is way more expensive and the teams coming in are worse and even less interesting. I also don’t like that we (fans) have to pay for us to get in a better conference while all the other SBC teams got there without bleeding the fans first.
I can’t disagree with any of that, but we’ve always had to do everything for this damn athletic department. Fair or not, it’s on us to make this thing happen.
I see the commitment, I see the vision. I’ll give and spend until I no longer believe in what’s being done here.
I’ll say this...if they’re now asking for more money...they better revamp those amateur hour looking RCAF stickers...I refuse to put those plain-white shield logos on my vehicles...
RCAF just sent a reminder. If you want a parking pass for football, the form is due by 5/31.
