Schmidt starting vs. LSU, may join UL weekend rotation

Colten Schmidt, who dealt with a shoulder injury in 2017, will start for UL against LSU on Wednesday night

Highly hyped as a junior-college All-American coming out of San Jacinto (Texas) College in 2016, lefty Colten Schmidt missed the first half of UL’s 2017 season with a shoulder injury.

He wound up pitching in seven games, starting three, and went 2-1 with 17 strikeouts and a 3.60 ERA over 25.0 innings.

nice job robe...starting a senior who is a weekend starter in a mid week game...could have used him last weekend against the rest of the SEC...by the way if you go 1-2 every SEC weekend like usl did last weekend....you would not even make it to HOOVER...thank goodness usl plays in the SUN WORST!!!!
