I must admit, I enjoyed the "altar call" where one lady announced her candidacy for city council after multiple calls for people to run for office.
If they said that, they were incorrect. It’s the other way around. Much of Youngsville drains through coulee lasalle and out to the cypress island swamp between Broussard and st martinville.

That is true for the eastern portion of Youngsville. Most of the southern portion of Youngsville and youngsville itself drains to the Parc Per Du. Only about 10% or 15% of what we call Youngville drains to the Vermilion River (if that much).

I'm between Milton & Youngsville (Youngsville address) and I think all the coulee's near me head to the Vermilion.

The Mississippi river is in moderate flood stage and has been for a few days. Noting to get worried about. Looking like a crest on April 10 with gradual drop after that. No big deal.

Snow pack up north and rain totals down river are nowhere near where they were this time last year.

LA has been spared one more year, but know this..... It WILL happen.

Only Ole Man River knows the date.
