As of right now, no more excuses. We just shutout the #12 team in country. We swung the bat like a veteran team, and Burk pitched the game of his life. Time to turn this win into a turning point and start winning some games.

We have given up 3 runs in two games to teams in the top 21. Our pitching should excel in the Sun Belt. Our hitting will mature as the season goes when we face weaker pitching on Saturdays and especially Sundays. I think we go Lee, Schmidt & Burk in conference.

    Jack Burk
    Logan Stoelke
    Kennon Fontenot

Thank you for saving our season. That’s a season saving victory. Club has hope and purpose again.

Now let’s go beat Kentucky and get this __ on track!

If I had to guess Austin Perrin. But that’s a guess. Kentucky is a high power offense. And Robe like a change up artist against these kinda guys. I don’t think he has the stuff to keep them down for 7 innings but if he could get us thru 4-5 that would be great. Batty prob has an inning or two in him. Just gotta piece it together

Burk had his best outing of his career thus far. Just absolutely brilliant.

Defense was solid again especially Hayden and Kasuls.

Fontenot finally got the big one. We need him to be our "Stefan Trosclair" this year and that home run reminded me of Trosclair's in Houston against Rice in 2016 at the Shriner's.

Very good ABs 1-9 with the exception of Lott. He had a couple ok at bats but he still looks lost. Especially with sliders off the plate outside.

Windham is about to break out. He has been hitting loud outs since Texas.

I think we have settled into a lineup except for the DH spot. I would put Moll back in that spot as he needs ABs and if he gets hot it will add some bigtime physicality to the lineup. Maybe rotate Faecher in every couple games.

Stoeke was great. Adrenaline probably caused those unnecessary walks. He looked charged up.

Tomorrow will be tough. Kentucky will be the best team we have faced so far and we are without Hogan. We will have to swing the bat to have a chance, because Kentucky can swing it and bomb it against anyone.

I don’t think there have been any exscuse that have been made. Bottom line is every opponent we have played thus far with the exception of Thibideaux high....can possibly or wil be in a regional this year. And the 5 will not be any easier either. Everyone _____ed about last years schedule, and St. Peter’s ..... well, there hasn’t been a breather yet on the schedule

I agree. May see Caleb Armstrong come in with that submarine to try and throw them off a bit too.
