He was either going pro or transferring all along.
Sorry, guys. Reality is he was never coming back to play ball here. I watched 1 1/2 whole Cajuns basketball games this past season, and even I knew he wasn't coming back once he "declared for the draft".
I know this is beating a dead horse, and I admit not knowing much about the sport, but in this day and age, a player of Brown's caliber is not going to stick around playing under Bob Marlin with our current schedule, especially home schedule.
2 much $ out there . . . a sad reality . . .
what good is that, he would still be gone . . .
Give it a rest. Maybe you should pony up some money or get a collective going. Money was raised. It wasn’t enough. It never was gonna be enough when a blue blood came calling. The issue with everyone shouldn’t be Marlin. It should be about these ash-holes like calipari tampering with kids before they are even in the portal.
He has a point . . .
Even the blue bloods exchange players.
Duke’s center fielder left LSU because of lack of playing time. His team is now one game from the CWS . . .
Jordan Brown will have played at 4 different schools in 6 years when his college days are over. I didn't like the moving around as much when he was coming here but I figured he would finish here or go to Europe. That tells me a little something about him.
With all that said, no player should be allowed that type of movement. There needs to be a transfer cap of twice or a provision that if his coach who recruited him leaves, he can leave but this free movement stuff is terrible.
