We should stand pat unless we’ve got somebody that can help us. A really good juco ties up a scholarship two years. He’s going to have to add something besides practice and deep backup.

They had a nice year but I won't get ahead of myself and start labeling them as a "good" program.

We won’t take anyone that cannot contribute immediately.

Going to disagree with you, while they are not elite they do have a higher profile program and are in a better conference. Perception matters and they are closer to home for him.

Should have pulled an Nmdomican and offered his dad a position as head of the medical school and a million dollar signing bonus... Oh wait we don't have a med school or a million dollars. LoL

Barring a championship of some kind, very few people make a decision like that based on one year that they weren't a part of. Right now, Jordan Brown's objective is likely "get to the NBA as soon as possible." The more exposure he can get, the better, and Nevada will be on a lot more TV screens than the Ragin' Cajuns over the next year or two. It's just a fact of life, and will be as long as we're stuck here "rising together."

If he does decide to leave Nevada would he not be headed to NBA?

60 people are drafted every year and only 30 have guaranteed incomes. About half of the second rounders stick meaning there are about 40 to 50 rookies in the NBA each year. This year alone over 60 underclassmen expressed interest in entering draft class. The one and done thing is overblown in my mind for most players-huge majority in fact. Not sure if Brown is at that level. He needed to make a decision planning where he would be the next few years. Fact that he decided to stay close to home tells me he considered that he might not be a one and done guy.
