When you only have ~1,750 starting positions and a fresh crop high schoolers on top of the portal players, lots of crushed dreams every year.

They will buy D1 home games this year. They have no choice due to new conference rule requiring minimum no. of D1 home games.

He has a new deal. How long he stays will be determined on how successful he is. Yes, we would have been very good with JB. I am not going to automatically assume we can't have a good year without him. We are bringing in 5 new players and a talented guy we redshirted will be ready to go. Truth is none of us have any clue at this stage how any of those guys will perform at the college level.

You half read what I wrote, Marlin is off the hook when it comes to the portal. It is out of his control.

He is not off the hook in needing to find a way to produce wins at this level.

Very few freshmen are difference makers. Now I hope they’re all stars, but it’s going to be a real battle to finish in the top 3.
