No, UL does NOT have 150 laying around. A NIL donor(s) does. Does the NIL donor(s) hold the 150 for another NIL need or donate it to buy a home game? It’s his/their money, not UL’s at this point.
Maggard, and much less Marlin, has any say in the matter. Even the suggestion of spreading it amongst the other players still requires the donor to ok it.
Well, the NIL groups are not considered non profits by the IRS. That’s good news.

You sum up a lot of folks' thoughts very well. And to think NIL and the transfer portals are in their infancy. No telling what this will look like in 10 years. Its a matter of time when college athletes become university employees. I don't know if that will be positive or negative for college sports.
