And add in compensation for the weeknight game; say take the average home attendance for the previous year and current year and agree to pay X amount per person for the reduced crowd. JMO

If we go into this game 4 1, we might owe money under that formula on that Wednesday night game.

Benson was able to retire after making this deal.

Benson retired because he was old.

Compensation has already been agreed to in the contract. No way ESPN changes that. It will be 8 years before we can even discuss that. Next time Jay has the commissioner on I would like him to ask how we can honor the contract and minimize the no. of times teams don't have Saturday October home games and the no. of times a team is on during the week 3 times in one year.

Does anyone think the sunbelt will expand anytime soon and add liberty and maybe JMU? The ten team league in football gives us a great deal of opportunity to move above our near peer competitors as a conference. With less schools we have less dead weight on the back end and more opportunity for non conference upward mobility. your thoughts?

We will see a regional conference before we add teams from Virginia and no one will ever touch Liberty it's a PR nightmare

I haven't seen the compensation report reported.

The previous contract was around $100G annually.

As far as has been reported (unless I missed it) the only increase in compensation is more Sun Belt programing for ESPN to dispense.

At $20 a ticket, that equates to 5000 seats. Is it really worth it?

It’s not about the money. If you’re not on mass television do you really matter? We’re in this contract for the handful of Saturday games, and mid week games on the ESPN network.

Then why are many on here participating in all the bickering?
