Did you go to the game? I refuse to go until Lee is gone. (Sorry to all the haters, this is how I choose to handle the Coach Lee Situation.)
Congrats to the guys for again hanging in and getting the W, with no coaching leadership.
On another note WKU just beat ASU in OT. I saw ASU was up w/ seconds to go then I see WKU won? Anyone know any details on how that one ended. WOW. Cajuns can be tied for the West championship w/ a win a UNT.
anyone have Lee's coaching record not counting his first year here?
It senior night. What will happen with Lee is going to has itself out in the next couple of weeks.
Maybe we should be thanking the kids who gave their all to the program, and celebrating a player like Tyren Johnson.
Instead of calculating a winning percentage that we all know is terrible.
Regardless of Lee, and regardless of the 'performance', it was fun to be at the Cajundome tonight. This team went 9-0 in conference at home this season ppl. Thats something to celebrate. They are in the hunt for a division championship (I know its in a dismal league, but they're winning the games on the schedule. What else do you want). We're watching a potential pro in Tyren Johnson, thats something to celebrate. If you "fans" can't show up on Senior night to congratulate a Cajun team with the highest GPA in the school's history, you're opinion is obsolete. We pride ourselves on being a "classy" institution that rewards Students first, athletes second. I'm glad the Dome was fairly full tonight. Those players deserve it, and they gave us a hell of a good time.
Stop being cynical about your 'fandom' and appreciate what we have. And what we have is special, no matter how you slice it. I'll be behind these guys 100% of the way when they begin their quest for a tourney title. I hope the rest of you will join me.
Geaux Cajuns
I'm sure the players and seniors, along with their parents, etc. understood your stance completely. Meanwhile, nearly 4,000 showed up quite stupidly not understanding the Lee situation as well as the more enlightened of us who really know better.
At least they can take comfort to know that us TRUE fans (representing all the empty seats while RL is at the helm) have their backs!
Hooray for us....
I'd like to know where the Sun Belt found the clowns wearing the referee's uniforms tonight. It seem like all it took was for one of our post guys to make a mean glare at Turner or Gilbert for them to call a foul. This was one of the most miserably called games I've seen at the Cajundome this year. But they toughed it out in spite of the bad calls.
So:
Tied for second in the division with the ASU loss and UNT win.
Chance to take the division lead if we beat UNT on their court on Thursday
Never thought in early January that I'd be saying that in late February.
The bad news from the game was that Gradnigo got hurt in the first half in the game. I saw the EMTs taking him out of the Cajundome on a stretcher. No one had any information during Jay's post-game show about his condition.
