I don't actually want Robe fired...I just want him 100% involved with the team. Anything less and we get our current trend, until he gets off his duff later in the year and corrects it. Why should we allow ourselves to get to the point of correction? It's self inflicted. This ain't a retirement home. He could have a job in the new APC raising money by giving speeches about grinders. Or...he could be 100% involved with the operations of his team...BEFORE it's forced upon him.
I am genuinely curious if you have any evidence or information that supports that Robe is not 100% involved other than the quality of play of the team.
I do think Robe deserves criticism. The team is 2-5 and that is not acceptable. It is his job to put a team on the field that produces up to expectations. But I don't have any information to suggest that he is sitting on his butt doing nothing. It is clear that whatever they have tried from an offensive standpoint since 2015 up to this point has not been effective enough. Something needs to change.
Maybe you are right and it is coaching effort. It could also be faulty offensive philosophy, faulty recruiting, or faulty player development. All of the above Robe is responsible for, whether he delegates those duties or not.
And Robe gets a 2 game suspension for excessive arguing
It's been said on here a thousand times, he is basically the pitching coach. He lets the coaches handle the other stuff. That's what I'm talking about. We don't need an elite level pitching coach. We need a high level head coach. It worked while Deggs was here, but that was like having two head coaches on one team. And it didn't last. It is not a sustainable model.
