I don’t think Tony will let whatever is happening happen with the offense all year long. Tony let’s his coaches coach and I respect the hell out of that. But something will change and change soon. He’s fed up with it. The fans are fed up with it and he knows that. And for those of u that are “fire happy” and think Maggard is gonna step in 6-7 games into the season to put pressure on Robe....y’all are on crack. Tony knows what needs to be done and he don’t need an AD to light a fire under his ___. And if he would...maggard would lose some credibility in my eyes. That’s a discussion for after the season if it’s one to be had. Yea it’s ugly right now, that’s a fact. But we are throwing young inexperienced arms and a ton of young position players with little to no D1 experience. We all were optimistic bc all reports were we had good young talent. The real issue is the upper classman need to play like upperclassman to cover uup the younger kids. The Stovers, Kausals, Fontenot, and even Laflure need to start getting it done

I just got back to BR. Today was my first game at the new park. I saw that event staff cat chest bumping, high fiving and going nuts celebrating with the Wright State players down past the first base line. It wasn't just a "congrats on the win" kind of thing. It was a "screw the Cajuns" thing. That cat should not be at our events.

I agree with this. The upperclassmen are not getting it done. A hitting coach doesn’t turn you into a .175 hitter.

That last statement is not necessarily true. We’ve had players come through this program the last few years who were great hitters everywhere except when they had Louisiana across their chest.

Sensley comes to mind. High school all American. Great hitter at LSUE. Mediocre in Lafayette. Hitting nearly .300 in the minors.
