Thread: 2018 SBC Regular Season Champions

I don't know if starting the backups messed up the rhythm but we missed a lot of wide open threes and tried too many alley oops. We seemed to be playing like we were going to win no matter what. In a close game they should come down with that high pass underneath the basket, go back up strong and get the layup and one with the foul. There were a few times when we turned up the intensity on defense, got the steal and blew the fast break. Then we just started playing uninspired again. They wanted it more than we did in OT. jMO. I hope Marlin can get them back on track for New Orleans and beyond.

You were right in the sense of never toy with losing focus.

The honor would have come in the form of 'First senior class to go undefeated at home in the Cajun Dome.'

    Your worries proved true.

LOL. This is hillarious. Now you were right? Because the 5 minutes that our other seniors played where the score was level led us to lose right? Come on. Again, you are the ONLY one that continues to come back to this. The funny thing is that the starting unit played worse than when we had some of our other complimentary players in. Marquetti couldn't hit anything, Stroman turned the ball over all night.

Look, even with the top 5 in there, we were making poor passes, couldn’t hit the three and shots were not falling. We even shot under our average for free throws. I counted four in a row where we miss the 1st but made the second. Had we gone 2 for 2 in the second half, no need for OT.

This was the point. This guy wants to blame the loss on starting some seniors who actually didn't play as bad as some of our other guys and then some how assert that the remaining 35 minutes were affected by the first 5 minutes is funny.

Overall loss of focus was his main worry.

I don't think he actually predicted a loss, but his rhythm worries proved true.

I'm sorry, did we win or not? And for the record I don’t blame the players who started.

I said it's a bad idea to mess with what's working when there is still things to play for, like an undefeated home record and RPI position. Basketball teams are highly succeptible to being thrown off rythem. As proof, I present last night.

Now we get to go into a tourney we have to win, coming off a terrible loss.

    But, sure, it's hillarious.

Coach should have said...if you shoot another 3...then come sit by me!!!no discipline again

I'm pretty certain that starting the seniors wasn't nearly as bad as what seemed like the entire team treating this like a practice walkthrough.

I haven't seen or listened to a game this year with maybe the exception of Clemson where we played so sloppy. I think that the guys might honestly have thought they were going to win the game simply by walking onto the court.

Honestly they probably should have - but Little Rock and their fleet of walk ons played like it was their national championship game.

But there is no excuse for any 26-4 team to lose to a team with seven wins on the season. We better own that f-up, and we better not show up to the tournament thinking we can walk right through it

You cannot lose that game if you want to be taken seriously as a basketball team. Losing to Little Rock at home is beyond embarrassing. Senior day was definitely a distraction.
