LOL. This has NOTHING to do with everyone gets a trophy so we can shut that down before it starts. We are playing a conference game that we are favored to win by a good margin. It hurts nothing to start those two guys for 3-4 minutes and let them play. Its a great way to show respect and thanks to guys for sticking with the program for years with little to no playing time.

It's not about feelings, but it's about appreciation and respect? Appreciation and respect ARE feelings. You want those guys to FEEL appreciated. To FEEL respected. I'd say if they don't know that already, one token start won't do it.
Its not about feelings. I'm sure they will feel proud or happy to have the moment but I'm doing it to show something. I'm doing it to show something to not only the kids but to the fans and school that we respect our kids staying with us. You don't like it? Fine. Nothing wrong with that but its likely going to happen.

We might have a debate if we had the Georgia schools coming to town while we were up by one game.

But in this case, there's nothing wrong with giving Stalcup and Broussard a big "thank you" for their hard work (with little reward) all season.

Getting introduced in the starting lineup in front of your home fans is special, especially if you've never gotten to experience it.

Coach may or may not do it. And, whatever decision he makes is fine with me.

But I totally don't get making a controversy over this.

We can't get the undefeated home season unless we win tonight. It should be the toughest of the two games so I imagine the guys will prepare accordingly. Cody Junot asked this morning what we hope to see tonight. He said less made three pointers than on the Alabama road trip. That is a good objective. I would like to see us be able to get Malik Marquetti some good shots to get him out of his slump. I of course would not mind a blowout so lots of people can play lots of minutes. Need to keep guys fresh to prepare for next weekend's tournament.

I agree the biggest thing (besides winning) for these next two games is getting Marquetti back on track.

Feel free to continue to argue against points I didn’t make. It won’t change the fact I just disagree with the approach. You do know you will occasionally meet people on the internet that just happen to disagree, right? It’s fairly common.

No controversy. If he starts them I’ll be glad for them. I know if I was one of them I’d be more focused on not blowing our undefeated home record and slowing our momentum.

Let's understand (provided Stove can go) that you'll be starting THREE 1,000 point scorers.

Let's understand you'll be playing two guys (who don't play a lot), about eight minutes each.

Let's understand you'll be playing the worst team in the league.

With respect, I think you're making way too much of this, Charlie.

I just want to finish off a season undefeated at home. Don’t care how or who does it. Don’t care if it’s by 30 or by 1, on a cheat.

    Just finish the job boys.

As pathetic as we were tonight, we still had a 10-pt lead late in the 2nd half. No excuses any way you look at it.

Man, you were the one who chimed in to disagree. That's fine. I aint losing sleep over it. I didn't even check in to this thread til this evening. Not like I'm tracking what you are saying but it goes both ways also.

Does it matter I was exactly right? You don’t mess with the formula when there is still stuff to play for.
