Have your ever played "Predict the Yardage?" Its fun and you can't lose.
Last year we waited till conference games started. But this year we will play all 12 games. We will play all 12 even though we have little clue on what the first opponents will do.
While there is no grand prize (that I know of) we will probably continue what we did with the 2002 weekly prize. It was a Louisiana T-Shirt from King Rob Productions. This year it will either be a T-shirt or vinyl sticker of some sort.
THESE WERE the RULES for 2002 & ARE the RULES for 2003
There will be 4 weekly winners by category and one overall weekly winner. They will be ranked according to how close (above or below) their prediction comes to the actual on field yardage results.
Your job is to predict what you think the final net yards gained will be for each of these.
Prior to your picks you will be given 100 points for each category. You job is to get your picks close enough so you retain as much of the 100 points as possible. For every yard your guess is off by, you will lose a point up to but not beyond the 100. If your pick is off by more than 100 you retained 0 points in that particular category.
The point totals from the 4 categories will be added together to determine the overall weekly winner.
In case of a tie the gamer that places their picks earliest would own the tie breaker. There is a season title to be won, so your weekly totals will carry over. However the first pick tiebreaker on the week’s portion carries no weight on determining the season champ.
The 4 "Pick the Yardage" catagories are:
In 2002 CajunGrad94 won it all
LA rush
LA pass
USC rush
USC pass.
ps you must enter at least 8 weeks to be eligible for the season title
