I predicted 10 and 10 after 20 games simply because of 6 confirmed pitchers and 4 to be decided. New talent at crucial positions like Cantrell at SS , and players like Lott who still trying to find "themselves". We ll be fine. Just growing pains will test our patience.

I'm not having a meltdown or even that upset at the game, just frustrating seeing the same approach every year under talbot. I think we have hitters can overcome his poor approach because we're littered with young talent, but I have my doubts that he will ever develop and improve a hitter.

If you’ve seen me post about this topic, you know we’re on the same page to a degree. I’ve nevee been a supporter of JT, and I don’t particularly like his style. But, I think this team has a totally different mentality and this is just a product of being young, facing great pitching and getting some tough calls go againast you. IMO

My biggest concern is the outfield. It seems like we don't recruit outfielders.

Yes, he is. He had 60 strikeouts over 90 innings last year which isn't bad, but it's not a guy you want going out and striking you out 10 times in 89 pitches.


For comparison's sake, Gunner had 84 strikeouts over 91 innings.

At least it was Texas. It’s tiring not being able to hit the first game vs. the likes of Murray State, SEMO, Eastern Illinois (yes, we were #1 for a lot of that season,) Witchita State (we did win 1-0.) I’m being choosy about my lead off games, but who cares.

Todd Lott plays with no heart or effort whatsoever. He always looks asleep at the plate, and now it's carried over to his play in the field.
