Earlier today, looking for scores on today's games, I opened this page first. Within just a few posts I was sure we'd lost at least 2 games. Tough crowd.
They had a commenter on FB who complained of the same thing with the run ruling. 15-0 or 1-0; it’s a win.
This is a transition that's hard on everybody. No question that it needed to happen but sitting in Lamson for the 1st 2 days was just plain wierd....today seemed like this was very close to his starting line up....this team has a chance to be successful IMHO...
Between graduation, and desertion we lost virtually the entire starting team. To expect a seamless transfer isn’t reasonable. There’s going to be some pain.
I went to Iowa game today. Like what I saw. Any word on Holland's knee injury?
Totally agree with this. Everybody, take a deep breath. Glasco has his eyes on May, not February. He's developing a staff and finding out who can HIT so we can compete in May.
Frankly, I'm not sure Mike always had his eyes on May.
I'll make this prediction: the first Super Regional Glasco gets into, he will win. Might be this year. Might not be for another year or two. But he'll win his first Super. Mark that down.
I'd rather a weathered, deep team that can beat you many ways, with a pitching staff 4-5 deep, in May, than a stack of mercy rule wins in February. We won 2-1 with 2 bunts and 14-10 in a little league park.
Guess what? We don't get many run rule wins late in May. But we'll need a bunt, and we'll need to win some crazy games.
Also helps that we're not teaching ladies to crow hop in the circle.
