After looking at everyone else's at bats for 3 days.....uh huh....with that said hes the skipper and it's his team.....but personally I've never seen anyone get out of a slump by not getting any hacks at the plate vs. Live pitching in real games....lol....is it a slump if it's all practice? JMO and I'm gonna be parked in my seats at Lamson the rest of the season.....if she is struggling at practice he's probably just trying to send a message...ie....I need your bat so wake up....

(She was hurt coming in to score on a grounder. Not sure how she got hurt, exactly. Spiked maybe?)
I got it on video. Coming into home she avoided a tag, which wasn't even close, and when she hit home plate she stiff legged it, no bended knee, causing the knee to hyper extend. When that happen I knew she was in trouble.

Exactly....she had to be helped, with no pressure on the leg at all, off of the field and later when the ladies come to home plate to cheer with the fans after the game she had her knee Iced down and still was not putting any pressure on the leg.

I haven't been to a practice, but her performance can't be as bad as the two that played behind the plate last night.

I personally think (having not seen the team as much as y’all have), that Gerry is still analyzing his players to get the right match up. In the past, the starters have always been set for this team. And it’s worked out for us. I think he takes more of an approach akin to baseball, where you might have 4-5 different starters in the lineup based on your opponent. Of course there’s not as many changes at pitcher (heck we only have 8 on the roster), but your hitting rotation changes according to who gives you the best chance to put up runs. True?

Any word on playing softball today. Heard the 9:am game was on hold in the fifth inning because of rain or lightening.....any word?

I think he gets the benefit of doubt starting out from scratch and this being his first job as a college head coach. But I find it a bit disconcerting he has benched an All-Regional Catcher that had offers from LSU, Texas Tech and others to transfer out this year and start because of a few bad scrimmages. JMO

Puzzling because I thought he mentioned she would be starting at the RCAF function last week. Was not impressed with Garcia behind the plate in game I saw yesterday. Concerned with offense also in that game. But we did not look good at the plate last year opening weekend either.
