Those of you that like to see who else is recruiting our targets got a birds eye view. If we get in early on the next class and develop relationships we will rarely lose kids to other G5 schools. But if we are recruiting the right kids, we will always be in danger of losing targets to P5 schools. I was unsure about how the early signing period would effect us, but now, after the fact, not signing kids early hurt us. Instead of us having the bulk of our class locked up early and looking for some quality kids with no big offers later, we had all of our class exposed to P5 schools looking for late editions. Signing kids early prevents those players from being poached.

On this note, how many kids did we lose to Tech, Southern Miss, Tulane?
We lost guys to Ole Miss, Miss St, etc.. The one that hurt the most was FAU. But with the exception of that, no one can complain about who we lost recruits to.

Hamilton, Ringo, Griffin, Broadway, Harris, Jamal Robinson, quave, Tovell were all in Huds first class. Don’t think the 2 are comparable. Let’s see what he can put together next year with more time for evaluation and planning.

That being said, I think there are some difference makers on defense if they make it to campus and a solid group of o lineman for the future in this class.

For those of you who don't like that hat thing, I thought this was pretty humorous and an interesting hat choice:

This class may not be star studded but I personally see it as a solid class. You filled immediate needs with JUCO guys for the front 7 and a couple of guys who I think can develop into something special. Guys like Cordova and Moncrief stick out to me as guys who have tons of potential. Moncrief reminds me a lot of Tovell.

This staff will do a lot better once they have a full year to evaluate and build their class. Next year the early signing period will really help us.

Actually its pretty comparable because we have transfers (Broadway), highly rated guys (Harris) and a bunch who are not highly rated (Hamilton, Ringo and Quave).
