Seems to be an accurate summation

Not surprised really. Generally speaking, the kids who are really committed to us will get their commitments in early rather than waiting for last minute SEC offers to sit on the bench.

I’m with you, very average but I don’t think our past staff had any idea how to develop players. I think that changes with the new crew!

How does this compare with Hud's first class?

Yep. Average at best. One or two may contribute in 2018 from this class.

I hope we can find one or two more JUCO lineman or graduate transfers to add to this class

Major difference...Hud didn't have to deal with an early signing period.

Tough to beat large crowds, tradition, and playing week end and week out against arguably the best competition in the country...to say we lost 2 guys st the last minute isn't so bad when you consider we were losing guys to SLC schools in the very recent past...are there fall backs for UL losing theses 2?

Obviously we are recruiting the right people. Our position in the pecking order means that if we are recruiting the right people, we will get poached. I am encouraged that we are going toe to toe with SEC teams for recruits. Development is the key. Let's see how the good guys can coach them up.

Come on man, many g5 schools lose recruits to the p5 schools. Many also are able to keep those recruits...
