I don't like it in the least. Its a sign of entitlement which is some of the problems this kids have. Who cares in the end other than the kid and his parents.

Do we have the whole school gather for the kid who got a scholarship to LSU or Gerogetown or anything academically?

Some schools do have celebrations for students who get into Ivy League institutions and other top academic schools like Stanford.

I always like an excuse to celebrate. Just me.
