Thread: Cajun Corner "Baseball 2018"

Some of that started because of strike zones. Umpires were calling strikes at the knees. When you wear high socks, you define the strike zone. When you wear your pants long, some umpires strike zones raise up because the bottom part of the zone isn't defined anymore. But then a lot of it turned into an appearance thing and how to look good. But that is at least some of why the wearing the pants down thing happens.

Is the level of competition in college summer ball the biggest reason the results don’t always translate to the field in the spring for hitters?

Who will the umpire crew be tonight?

Will you consider having people thrown out of the park for hollering at our own players?

Other than adding the cutter, what is the biggest factor in Mike Leaumont's recent success?

We discussed leadership on this team. Who has emerged as new team leaders lately?

Kole McKinnon, my guy, has gotten way too much criticism from fans. He's had back to back great weekends. Please talk about McKinnon and how he's progressing as a catcher and hitter.

Noticed Gavin was moved from LF back to CF in game 2 and 3. Was it because of a few minor missteps on Saturday? And can we expect that lineup going forward?

Seems like every time Hayden is up, we have a ton happening on the base paths. I know we trust him with the bat, but at what point does the action in front of him begin to distract from his at bats?

Has there been a palpable confidence boost since we've been winning consistently?

    I'll hang up and listen.

Who do we have coming in next year that can give a boost to the offense in terms of power so that the pitchers don't have to be perfect each and every game?
What is the offensive philosophy of this team in particular and the program as a whole?
