Smart, because "commitments" bring attention, which brings de-commitments. Man, I hate recruiting.

So how (as in, what's the process) do we say, 'Hey, we're offering you a scholly" and then come back and say, "Sike, we found a prettier girl to take to the prom?" I mean, because that's what it sounds like we're doing. LOL

The same way every other program in the country does it.

    It’s just business.

The previous staff, Coach Lucas followed Hayes. I don't pay much attention to the UL 247 site because no one keeps it updated and accurate. They have two commitments that are PWO athletes showing right now.

Wii take your word UL is full at this time. With reference to the 20, I was given that number from one of the University’s Vice Presidents who visited with them. We sit near each other court side at the Cajundome. His answer was in direct response without any hesitation to my specific question as to how many recruits were there....he raised his eyebrows and smiled ear to ear with obvious approval of Napier’s and his staff’s intense recruiting efforts. Took him at his word...

Not calling you out my man, it just so happen this weekend I met one of the coaches out eating and he told me how many were visiting. Of Course he didn't tell me who was in on visits. These guys know how to play the game.

Didn’t take it that way at all. Love the input! Working for a “Saban trained” Napier, I bet they do know how to play the game 😎

At the bottom of every scholarship offer that I've seen, it clearly states this offer is contingent upon meeting NCAA Eligibility Requirements. Coaches also tell athletes that their behavior, ie; suspension, arrest, graphic and inappropriate material on their social media are also grounds for losing a scholarship opportunity.

Now Garner may have been told that they are will to take him, but wouldn't have a final answer until National Signing Day. Or that they may now only have a Blue or Greyshirt opportunity for him at this time. Asjlin Washington was told sometime similar, but he didn't make a public announcement that he committed. But his twitter profile shows him in a Cajun jersey while on visit.

Speculation on my part, but I believe that Cajuns either received news that they now have a firm commitment on someone that they really wanted and offered Garner something else at this time. Who knows for certain until Signing Day.

Hopefully any surprises are upgraded surprises instead of disappointing ones.
