Since his father will be on the visit with him, how about we run his dad's video on the screen like his game against Georgetown? The crowd would get really loud with that presentation.

Dion Brown is being inducted into the Hall of Fame that weekend. Coach Marlin told that to the Rebounders Club on Tuesday night. I did not share it here until now as I thought they wanted to really promote the induction next week. When he mentioned that the entire family was coming with Dion a few of us in the room looked at each other and smiled. It would definitely help to have a big crowd that night with a high level recruit visiting. However, legally you cannot promote that aspect as the kid is still a prospect, not a signee. We can promote the induction of his father however. We can make it a word of mouth thing amongst students and fans about the recruit. Good idea CajunT about showing a video of his highlights. I don't know if the game against Georgetown has available highlights as that was in November of 1981, over 36 years ago. I don't know if the excitement of a top level recruit being at one of our games will cause anyone to consider missing baseball in Houston but I imagine it will be a consideration for some. You can always go to baseball either Friday or Sunday enabling attendance at basketball. That is an individual decision for each person and wherever you are you will be supporting something worthwhile.

If somehow Coach Marlin and his staff could pull this off and land Brown Jr., this could be the start of returning this program to glory! Getting Brown, to go along with the previous early signees, and putting them together with the guys that will be returning from this seasons 24-4 (and counting) team would set the Cajuns up for even more success i the next few years. And as we all know, success breeds success! It might be a long shot, but getting a visit is a start!

I think Fogle only played one year here, 72-73, the last year before the death penalty. That was Lamar's last year. Don 't remember if Fogle was a 5 star. Your memory is probably better than mine.

Consistent success is what it will take to get the crowds back to what they were in the past. That and some meaningful post season success.
