    I was at that one!

Also at the early 90's huge crowd for UNO.

Lost them both. Maybe I should stay home.

    Thursday’s “blackout” game.

Me to. I never seemed to miss the big losses. Still ____ed I was not at the Lakefront Arena when Sydney Grider went off against UNO.

Also had a 9+K game vs USA in SBC tournament. Thinking we lost that one. Sat in the nose bleed that night.

Ah, yeah you’re right. I must have had it mixed up with another game. Nice catch.

That crowd was closer to 11k. Umass was ranked 4 at the time. That was one of my highlights as a ball boy sitting with Marcus Camby on the visitor bench while all the kids asked for his autograph. He was injured and didn’t play. They still beat us by 30

In the past - I remember most hyped up big crowds were letdowns that we lost - many vs. UNO - 9-10K plus... Dang Tim Floyd.... Seems like most Cajun teams would press and not play their game... I do think we beat Loyola Marymount in front of a big crowd - as an exception...

But - for this team - I don't see that happening. I think they will handle the surroundings just fine, use it to their advantage and take care of business...

    GEAUX CAJUNS!

My now wife and I were at that game on the 1st row of the student section but behind the goal (basically where the band used to sit). We were basically the 1st seats where the team comes out from. Yes, we lost. I remember that being the championship game of the tourney we were hosting. That was what began my hatred for USA!!!

I remember that game also... Cajuns were down by a lot and made an AMAZING comeback with a 3 point barrage... the Dome was rocking... ended up having a chance to win and fell just short. Came down to free throws as I recall.

I went to that game (we won). I still think back to Sydney launching those 3s from anywhere and everywhere and ripping the net. I was also in the dome when we had the biggest MBB crowd ever... against UNO. The dome was packed. I’m out of state this week but hope to get to Lafayette on Saturday. I’d love to see a 6k to 7k crowd. Good times.

Don't think we've ever had an official sellout.
