A couple of JC Defensive tackles and a Left tackle would ease that unease.....😆

And that recruiting class was rated by scouting services as the lowest rated of all of his classes.....which is why I've continually stated not to put all of your faith in those services....they don't pay much attention to the g5....which is beyond stupid.

Ringo was rated a 2 star with 70 points....the lowest point total for a 2 star rating....Hamilton a two star with 73 points.....both are still in the NFL....

That first class looks good in retrospect. At the time I remember being only cautiously optimistic. Much as I am now.

Player development is still far more important for us at this particular juncture anyway, IMO.

As a comparison to that 1st class yesterday's class had an average rating of 79.5.....and that's just yesterday's official signees....the Ole Miss DT transfer is a 4 star with 92 points. I'll stick with what my eyeballs tell me and having seen multiple video of each signee I'm good with this class.

I agree. Moncrief and Cordova are both kids who I expect to become forces in the middle. They will have to develop but they have a lot of raw talent.

Expect Moncrief to play as a freshman.

We know Napier was behind the 8 ball with this year's class. Last coach wrecked relationships with many HS staffs. The early signing period really threw a monkey wrench into things. He only had a few weeks to build a staff to try and piece together a decent signing class.

All of us should have seen this coming. To expect an eye popping class this season was really wishful thinking. Now, I fully expect this staff to absolutely crush the next class.

Just to give you guys an idea of where we need to go, these are 24/7 class rankings of certain regional foes.

    #66 Tulane. (20) 3-stars
    #73 Houston. (19) 3-stars
    #76 Louisiana Tech. (16) 3-stars
    #81 Southern Miss. (19) 3-stars
    #85 UTSA. (16) 3-stars
    #86 Memphis. (16) 3-stars
    #88 Arkansas State. (14) 3-stars
    #89 SMU. (15) 3-stars

    #125 Louisiana. (4) 3-stars

First, this years class is decent considering how it went down, and we had a little disappointment at the end. Again, not totally unexpected. However, I do think Napier realizes we must improve for next year to get where we need to go in the future, and I am confident that will happen. I expect UL to be 2nd in the state next year at this time.
