    Yeah, pretty slick.

I'm expecting the thread will soon be flooded with counterpoints.

5 months away. And sorry if I come across as cranky. I can promise you I am laughing the entire time I am reading these threads. I find these “exchanges” incredibly entertaining.

Cajun T you are so spot on. Parents try to live their dreams through the kids. I own a few College Prep Football programs in Louisiana it is the same way without the big spot light. It's D1 or nothing else matters. D2,D3 & NAIA programs get look as a downgrade because it's not a UL,FSU,USC, Texas for ex. D1=NFL for them. I always tell student athlete's our goal is to help you fulfill your dreams & we can't promise scholarships but we will work hard to get you somewhere. Some parents do tell kids to wait for a "bigger offer" but when the big schools don't come then they will start blaming others

I will say it again coach, a chance to play college football and earn a degree is blessing! Less than 5% of high school football players ever get that chance to play at any level and earn a degree.

A lot of these kids do not have anyone in their family with a college degree. Getting a free college education is a tremendous gift and can be a life changing event. Anything else is lagniappe.

That's right. I woukd give an arm and a leg to not have to pay student loans back and have a platform such as playing college level football. Employers look for former athletes.

Coach Napier has a 5 year contract.

Will he be expected to fulfill his "commitment" to Louisiana?

Say we're in the Fall of 2019, and Coach Napier has put together 9-4 and 10-3 seasons, in addition to getting a number of 3 star and a few 4 star recruits to commit early. Kids who came here because of Coach.

    Coach Napier leaves for Tennessee.

Will we still hold those kids who made "commitments" to Louisiana to their word?
