48 BPI and 45 SOR, which really looks good. Too bad the SOS is so weak.

Just curious, how many spots would we drop with a loss? Assuming since all our remaining competition is out of the top 100 we would plummet

Im sure we'd drop at least 20 spots with a loss. This is, of course, an uneducated guess.

Depends on who we lose to. A loss to ULM or one of the Arkansas schools would drop us 20 spots, more or less. A loss to one of the Georgia schools would drop us maybe 10. The Texas schools would be somewhere in the 10-15 range.

How far we drop is still connected more to how our opponents do (50%) than how we do (25%).

And, a road loss hurts much less than a home loss. They are weighted differently.

A loss is a loss, as far as the RPI is concerned. There is no location differential. Now, there is a difference in how it is perceived, but that does not affect the RPI.

If it’s like baseball, RPI calculation does not care WHO the loss comes to... only if it is home or road.

I think the home loss actually hurts more than a road loss. The RPI definitely takes the home/road situation into consideration. While a loss tomorrow would definitely hurt, a loss at Georgia State probably would not be much of a factor as they are doing well right now.
