This is the type of team I’ve exoected out fo Marlin for years. IMO he has finally shown us what he can do as a HC when he has a roster full of talent.

This is they type of basketball that we as fans should demand year in and year out. Not just once every decade.

Yes. With all my criticism of him, I'll enjoy the rest of the season and give him props, especially after the adjustments he made in the second half which I noted earlier. He made some game specific adjustments in getting away from the 3 as much and changing in Miller and Stove for Marquetti and Gant which were huge.

Made some very poor decisions and had trouble finishing around the basket. I watched UTA play 7-8 times last year and those things were never a problem for him. He’s still extremely talented and of course will make shots, but he looks like his confidence has taken a hit or something..

He lacks the killer instinct and he’s soft. Same with Eric Neal. Come sit by the court and talk some ____ to them like I did last year and they fold

I feel like this is a trap game. Crappy travel itinerary, underperforming opponent due for a breakout game, riding a win streak; all signs point to a letdown. I will be very impressed with a win.

I would agree with Jay, that was one of the better regular season wins Marlin has had. He made some really solid adjustments at half and some great personnel decisions. Marquetti and Gant barely played in the second half for Stove and Miller who were both playing exceptional. Also, they went to more cuts and the inside game rather than the perimeter game we played in the second half and made more shots. That was gutsy considering he sat two guys who had been a big part of getting us to where we are.

Defense. Stove is not afraid to take a charge!

Hervey looks the part and has some serious skill. something is missing though

He seemed to pull up and jack a 3 from 26’ away with a hand in his face.... multiple times. Couldn’t figure that one out. He absolutely destroyed us inside last year.

Depth played a part in this game down the stretch, Jay said earlier in the week that they lost their depth that was key for them last year. Our frontline players contributed as usual, but the ability to give them a breather without losing too much is huge.
