Says he likes playing sideline to sideline.

Looks like he's not afraid to spend a little time in the weight room

Speaking of Kinder, I wonder if Carl's Catfish Hut is still in business.

I wouldn't mind him staying that size and be our version of a Minkah Fitzpatrick. Looks like he is 4.55 - 4.6 guy.

According to the article: Bench: 235; Squat: 470; 40: 4.6; Vertical: 34 inches

I dislike when coaches take certain guys and beef them up so much they start to lose effectiveness. Not saying that will happen with him but I like a guy maintaining his athleticism even if he's a little undersized. Its not about their size but their physicality. One of the best small players I ever saw was Rohan Marley at Miami. He was 5'8" and 205 and could play sideline to sideline and just made plays. He played on the largest stage as a smaller linebacker but he used his speed and he was physical. I liked McCoy when he was here but he just wasn't physical enough and would get eaten up in the running game from time to time.

Nice 40. Nice vertical. Strength numbers seem low.

All that said, I just want football players. And this guy seems like that. Add in a "coaches kid" which makes you think he can take instruction and get better I am excited about this pickup. Who cares what he can bench if he can't play football. We had a bunch of weightroom studs/gridiron duds the last few years, including at HC.

    He will get stronger....

Looks like a typical UL defensive recruit, undersized and no set position. Hopefully he has the speed to play safety, if not he will need a year or two to get stronger. Hard not to like the athleticism.
