I’d say being down 14 early and down 12 at half to a much better team is a lot bigger test. We got punched in the mouth twice and responded.

There's a reason they call it "The last LEG of the journey."

Ragin Pagin 2045: "Don't think that we didn't know that some of you took advantage of the time warp during beaming. After the game, we will check biological clocks and determine how many of you went places and did things you weren't supposed to. They'll be no excuses for jelly legs. Fortunately, we were able to rebuild Johnny's cranium crack during particle beam repair by our sports medicine nanoparticles. Johnny will start again tonight. Please understand, the NCAA AI will be doing tests to determine if anyone did particle enhancements during transformation. Do not let boosters talk you into these enhancements. It's illegal. Do not get fooled by the crowd holograms this team uses. Remember, if they have glowing red eyes... they are not human. Just think of them as the blue tarps Tech still uses. Keep your eye shields in plasma mode the entire game... and your inner ear coach transmitter on... even when on the real or virtual bench. Geaux Cajuns on three!"

Those were great teams, I think this may be a great team.

Some say this travel screw up isn’t anything. Good teams overcome. Well they’re right and wrong. It’s something and we are a good team and overcame. Just because we overcame doesn’t mean it’s nothing. Michael Jordan overcame with high fever in fact having one if his better games. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t a barrier, just that’s why he’s Michael Jordan and others aren’t.

Coming back twice from double digits leads to having UTA desperately fouling us is testimony to our teams specialness.

I know in the case of my comments, they were totally misunderstood. I know that travel is tougher than playing at home. And certainly any changes will have an affect. My point has been, all along, that that I STILL expected this team to win. Not because road games aren't tough, but because I think this particular team is special. That was the WHOLE point. I expect this team to win anyway, because I think this is not your normal team.

I will not reduce expectations for this team to fit some standard narrative. I think this is a special team.

I totally get what you meant. I just don't think anyone was saying anything about reduced expectations. After last night, it should be pretty damned obvious these guys are as mentally and physically tough as it gets.
