Any idea if the new staff reached out to him or vice versa??
Will he have to “try out” like other walk- on hopefuls, or be an immediate roster add?
Regardless, good move! Wondered about his East Texas buddy Mitchell too.

Mitchell is/was battling some kind of health issue. Not sure if he is past that or not.

He can play in 2018. He went JUCO at Kilgore last year. If we can get his JUCO LB teammate Troy Burnett we may have some good depth.

Burnett was a JUCO All American last year. Over 100 tackles last year. Originally from Houston.

    🙄
Don’t know the young man, but in general, once a quitter always a quitter. There are exceptions to this rule of thumb.

Did he actually play at Kilgore? He left mid season, saw that’s where he was going but didn’t think he played.

I would say you are completely off base. I spoke to him during the holiday break and he was really impressed with Coach Napier. I'm happy he is coming back and giving it a shot this spring.
