He was 24 for 24 on extra points.

In 1998, he tied a franchise record with a 54-yard field goal and made 29 of his 35 field goal attempts, which at the time ranked third in club history."

Yeah ... a little revisionist history to better fit the narrative. He wanted TCU his senior year and has wanted to stick it to them ever since he was not offered. OU was his first choice coming out of Texas Tech.

It is funny how the recruiting game works. I think the success of Lake Travis QBs Mayfield, along with Charlie Brewer (Baylor), Michael Brewer (Texas Tech, Virginia Tech) and others have paved the way for a player like senior Matthew Baldwin to get offered by Ohio State, despite not having started a high school game until his senior season this past Fall.

Just a few walk ons that earned scholarships and contributed heavily to our success....yes it's normal to hold spring and fall tryouts...
Glad you mentioned Randy Baggett. Worked with him way back for a few months at the old Real Superstore in loss prevention. Great guy!
