No. All coaches around the country are closet cajun fans. As soon as they get hired they whip out the Louisiana shirt hidden in the back of their closet.

I prefer the explanation above yours. It just makes more sense.

All joking aside love this guys resume. Makes you wonder why would he would come here when he's been the head strength coach at P5 schools already. Is this not a backwards move? Would love to here his thoughts on leaving the P5 world and coming here.

Yes, I had the same question. This sure looks like a great get.

Could it be he was satisfied with the salary he was offered and he just likes Coach Napier and wants to work with him?

Yup. If Napier can pull off what we all hope he'll pull off, guys like Hocke and all the others that he's hired want their name associated with success.

For a S & C coach, one look at the weight room and other facilities and he knows we are not small time anymore.

I get the feeling HUD coaching relationships were limited. Because of the places Napier has been and the relationships he had made at big time programs he can sell his vision of UL to some good young coaches. You can tell Napier has a lot of credibility in the coaching profession. Napier has given us access to major programs and the coaches they have hired.

Hard to argue with the staff he is putting together. Let’s see how well these guys can recruit.

A common thread in all of Napier's hires has been his claim that the guys are solid recruiters. I hope it holds true.

    Not a backwards move.

    1a)Head Strength and Condition coach.

    1b) Associate Head Coach

If Hocke is qualified, he is. Then Napier is brilliant.

You can't really believe Jimbo was gonna keep him. Or maybe Napier did steal him but I doubt it
