    Default JuCo signees

In what could become almost an entirely “lost year” for recruiting, I hope our coaching staff goes heavy on going after some JuCo signees that can make an immediate impact next year. With Tulane (24 early signees) and ULM (17 early signees) getting their acts together, and Tech (13 early signees) on a four bowl win streak right now, we need to find a way to get to six wins in 2018. That’ll be good enough to put us in the New Orleans Bowl again.

Tulane’s class is currently ranked #66, Tech’s #79, and ULM’s #115 by 247 Sports. This indicates that the players that signed with ULM are not of the same quality as those that signed with Tulane and Tech. This is very bothersome to me because we’re conference mates with those clowns in Monroe.

Yeah, I think it was posted in another thread but we need juco players at many positions. Probably 2 at OT, 2 at DL, 2-3 at LB and 2 at CB. I think if we end up rated around 110 it has to be considered a good recruiting year.
With some impactful Juco guys we should be able to get 6 or 7 wins.

Ulm has never broke over 100 before.. and if you look who we are offering it's all Juco OL and Defense I suspect we sign 10-12 Juco guys & a few more grad transfers

I think this is a good strategy in order to get immediate help with the problems on this team.

Maybe we wait unti after signing day to declare this a lost year. Good grief.

I’m looking forward to the day we lock down 20 above average guys on early signing day. But this is part of the deal with changing coaches, and that’s fine.

Who signed with ULM or tech or similar schools early? Guys who’s ceiling was those schools or lower. Ones with no chance of getting called by a P5. If we can get enough JCs to fill holes that Napier identifies, nab a few borderline g5/p5 kids who were holding out, and fill out the class with a few diamonds in the rough it will still be a better class than any Hud has had since his first.

Coach Napier is taking a prudent approach given circumstances. Let's not prejudge.

Both Tulane and tech signed players with P5 offers so that definitely isn’t true...
