BC is definitely the exception not the norm in the ACC, being in a town with the Celtics, Red Sox, bruins and patriots...not much roomleft for the eagles. Boston is a relatively small city.

With the exception of USC and Miami, small private schools in metro areas rarely have large fan bases.

    Even Miami struggles

I have to confess my comments were hyperbole. Clearly Syracuse with 30k and others are more the norm. I was just shocked to see a crowd that was UNO’ish.

And they have a boat load of universities in the immediate area.

Their RPI was #6 as of this morning.

FYI Ole Miss is better than we thought. Ole Miss RPI is up to 115, they are 2-1 in the SEC as they recently defeated South Carolina and Miss State both with top 75 RPI's. We are also getting alot of help from our friends in the Southland. UNO is 4-0 and has an RPI of 179 up 11 spots, since the beginning of 2018 SLU is 3-0 and has an RPI of 152 that is up 31 spots since the beginning of 2018, Nicholls is 3-1 and has an RPI of 208 which is up 11 spots since the beginning of 2018. McNeese is even 2-2 in conference, but they have slipped a number of spots.

UL's RPI is holding at 83 right now. The crazy thing is at one point Saturday night, Tulane, LSU and UL were all 80, 81 and 82 respectively. Now LSU is 82, UL is 83 and Tulane has slipped to 88.

This was not unexpected. Most of the college basketball analysts were picking them to be a darkhorse NCAA tournament Sweet 16 and Elite 8 contender. Many were also picking them to make a run at the ACC regular season championship. The BC win on the road was better than I thought it would be.

An RPI key may be SLU. Their win over SFA which beat LSU is likely a factor in our rise. Tulane may fall some going forward as I expect they will lose some more AAC games. They have improved but they will have trouble cracking the top half of that league.

Duke made me feel a little better about the results.

    Duke 88
    N D. 66
at one point Duke led by 31 points late.
