I understand what Coach Napier said about not getting to meet any recruits to early sign them, and it makes sense. The back of my mind was hoping for maybe one or two surprises.

would you trust Hud's recruits given our lack of talent? He wants time to evaluate .

The only guys committed to us were low level recruits. I bet he feels like he can get those guys later if he needs. Rather work on some higher level guys who are still undecided and fall back if needed.

He's been on the job 2 days and has been trying to recruit coaches. He said on Dave's show that he wants to personally meet every offer and look them in the eye before signing to make sure they are a good fit.

He definitely needs time to evaluate players

This class is probably a wash. So there is no reason to go out and sign someone just to sign them. There are still kids out there who are very good and some programs no longer have any room. I don’t think it’s that much of a gamble anyway.

I’m not going to worry too much about this signing class. I’m hoping for a solid one. But if we only sign 18 we need to really hit on 8-10.

Nope....if everyone else is signing he'd better jump on board....

No. Napier just hasn't talked to any of his recruits yet and doesn't feel it's right to sign them up when they don't know what they're getting into. Doesn't mean next year's early signing won't be full.
