Wilkins had interest from such schools as Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah and Washington. Davis had interest from outside of La Tech and UL with North Texas.

I like Jordan Davis and I think he is the best QB on our roster right now, but personally Wilkins would be a huge upgrade at that position if he came to UL. Look at his stats from ASU:

    432 - 681 29 TD's and 14 INT's, last year was even better as he was
    236 - 370 17 TD's and only 5 INT's.

He was considered the Number 13 ranked dual threat qb in the country by ESPN and the Number 14 qb in the nation by Scout. Rivals had him as the #20 qb in the country. So between all of these scouting services he was ranked in the Top 20 qb's in the country his senior year in HS.
I hate grad transfer QB's but this one would be different because he knows Napier' s system

I would still like J. Davis to finally have one last shot at winning the QB job. He has waited patiently and been jerked around by an offensively inept head coach. I would love to see what the new coach can do with him.
Jordan has a coach now who knows a bit about quarterbacking. Wouldn't be shocked if he excelled at the position next year.

Your opinion, we all have one.

It was pretty easy to see the impact Coach Hall had on JD in just one year. If JD had received good coaching over the past 4 years, we may not be having this discussion. He has skills, what he doesn't have is experience and proper development over the past 4 years. He may lack other intangibles, that Wilkins has exhibited, but he doesn't lack physical skills.

Not seeing JD as our QB, just my 1 cent.

JD was Ok and can have a nice senior year. He just needs to mature. I don't think the previous staff liked his maturing or ability to lead. I'm hoping he finds it in his last year because I do think he's the most battle tested and capable QB to run a spread offense right now. However, I'm not against getting a transfer that the staff may be familiar with and bringing in someone who is better.

5-6 5* in Louisiana? I think you are being a bit generous. I’d say 2-4 is more the norm.

Not that ratings are always right. OBJ, Honey Badger.... both 4 star. Clearly 5* talents.

I overstated the 5 stars however The 4 star ranking were extremely low this year

Wilkins or Jordan will have a bevy of talented young, big, fast receivers coming back in 2018 to throw to!

I really think the fanbase is underestimating the potential for success in 2018. Gerald Broussard's right. Absolutely no reason this team shouldn't be 8-4 at least.

Yep, really nice talent on Offense coming back, Defense has some bright young talent coming back, some parts of special teams are awesome others need some work! Allow these coaches to work some February magic, and WaLa! Fan base get ready to rock and roll.
