    I disagree that it is a poor reflection of our program.

    The options:
    (1) coach at G5 school, with a new head coach, to play for a SBC championship and NOLA bowl, .0005 percent chance to win a NC, playing in front of 20k fans on average;
    OR
    (2) coach at a P5 powerhouse in the SEC, with a head coach who is arguably the best college coach of our lifetime or maybe even ever, playing for SEC Championships, 75 percent chance to win National Championship, playing in front of 100k fans on average.

    If you seriously pick option 1, you have mental issues.

    Metry has been at it too long. He's no longer a dreamer, and thank God Napier is.

    I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a negative, unless you are the type of person that thinks any change is negative. It may be for the best.. They guy just was not here long enough to do anything really. Now is the best time to have this happen. Napier will pick another good coach I’m sure.

    In no way is this a poor reflection of this program. He is leaving for Alabama! A program that has played in 5 of the last 8 NC games. For roughly the same salary. How is that a knock on Scott or UL?

    Some of y’all need a reality check on where we are in the pecking order of the college football landscape. We are in the bottom 1/3 of FBS programs. We have the potential to become a Houston or ECU type program, but we are no where near that at the moment.

    Scott left for The Premier program in college football.

    And as close to a guaranteed national title as you can get. Really no other program can offer that.

    I'm guessing most coaches would take that jump as well. From lots of programs.

    I can promise...you think a lot more highly of our football program than I do. In fact I believe if Scott had coached here for a year, his chances of getting the Alabama job would have decreased dramatically. This was a good move for Scott.
    The Tech guys looks solid to me, but I wonder if making a lateral move is what he wants. We shall see.
