I have to believe Coach Napier didn't get his no. 1 guy. I was told our DC would be a bigger deal, name wise, so something didn't go as planned. I agree with J1M about the experience level of our new DC. I hope he can do the job.

If he's a good recruiter, we should be solid in LA and TX given where he's coached recently and with Coach Sale's ties to the state. IMO, getting solid recruits to fit their system is right up there with coaching experience. This turn around won't happen overnight. I'm looking forward to seeing what we end up with this year's class.

Might have been, but Scott will be fine at UL. This guy recruited well against UL, stole Woods and another athlete while at La Tech. It's clear this will be a young and energetic staff. All of them thus far are very good recruiters.

Can confirm that #TexasTech DBs coach Karl Scott is headed to Lafayette as Billy Napier's DC. Excited for a great young coach to get a bigger spotlight and opportunity.

Well, I met a smart one in Lubbock. Was in an auto parts store in Lubbock, guy drives up in a jacked up F-250. All the bubbas go meet him and start talking about the truck. One guy asks the owner what kind of mileage he go with the truck. A very astute reply, " with or without the wind?" If you've been to Lubbock, you get it.
