You lost a coach to the number 1 coach and program in the country. The last 3 dc under Saban have gone to be head coaches at Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. No doubt Scott will look to be a quality coach as he will be coaching a junior level nfl talent. In addition he will learn from Saban which won't hurt. The impressive thing is Napier has enough of a network that Saban is buying from it. Head coaches are often made or broke by their assistants, if big schools are trying to steal your coaches it is an feather in Napier's cap when looking for his next assistant.

I see this as a way for Baker to get a pay raise at polythec, and he really has no intentions of a lateral or some would say a backwards move. JMO. When I say lateral or backwards not talking money but job perception.

He is from Houston & wife from Mandeville he might want to get back down to Cajun Country .. Plus closer to his recruiting footprint

We are in a position to hire someone with DC experience. I like Karl but not for DC. Besides we have a DL coach.
