Keep an eye on Dan Lanning, Memphis State.

Come on, T! Us Mid-Majors need to stick together...even when others intentionally call us what we don't like we must take the high road. (I'm not suggesting you were taking a shot at Memphis)
Memphis State = Memphis
Troy State = Troy
Middle Tennessee State = Middle Tennessee
Louisiana-Lafayette = Louisiana
Louisiana - Monroe = ULM
Arkansas-Little Rock = Little Rock
Wisconsin-Milwaukee = Milwaukee
I'm sure there are many more of us fighting the name game but we MUST respect what others want to be called if we expect the same in return.
Actually Middle Tennessee alumni I know simply say Middle.
Listen, I think too many people bang on others about the name. It get's old and tired! So, on occasion I slip and call a program by it's former name. Most of the time it's not intentional. Now the only time I do get upset is when a national publication, network or writer intentionally calls us Louisiana-Lafayette or ULL and have have been informed a number of times in the past. Then I may shoot of a private message to them or on twitter because they are intentionally being disrespectful.
As for the mantra that we are all in this together, I'm respectful in most cases. If any program, or their fans uses the correct name for our athletics, I will respectfully reciprocate. Otherwise it's State, LA Tech, McNeese State, etc.
