Turnovers are important in close, competitive games. Getting your arse handed to you on line of scrimmage is almost always an ugly loss. We had several games where the latter was true. Several games were over in 1st half. Only exception was ULM. They took foot off throttle too early & it almost cost them.

Ummm, you do realize we have little returning talent on a very weak defense. Who is playing LB? Or CB? Without a major infusion of talent we will be bad on that side of the ball. 2 win improvement would be monumental in my opinion and show we are on the right track.

Haha. Yeah, I meant we will have to score over 40 points to get some wins.

We had a losing season in bustles final year and came back and won 8 games plus a bowl.... it can be done.... it will take at least 2-3 recruiting classes to get where Napier wants his team... coach hard play hard and just win

I will wait and see our D might not be as bad as we think with a good coaching staff .. We got beat 2 weeks in a row by the read option that is an indicator of lack of preparation and coaching

The only improvement I expect next year is a team that gives two sheets. I’m all for a new staff, no leftover bad habits. I think Coach did a great job putting EVERYONE on notice. Took it more than coach speak today. This guy is young and is not about to squander the opportunity.

The cupboard isn’t as stacked as when Bustle left. But the new staff will have everyone’s attention. Napier is young yet old school. Should be interesting.

And I won’t miss falling down when i learned only a few fans were left holding that limb ars rope.

Not that l'm expecting big things next season. I am not. But l think with new recruiters & better coaching, 2018 might be a little bit better than we thought a month ago.
If we had not changed coaches I would not have expected more than 4 or 5 wins. I think we will do better than that.
