Four New Orleans Bowl wins in four years will not accomplish this. If bowl wins meant what they used to, we'd have left LaTech eating our dust four five years ago. What we need our new staff to deliver are conference championships, signature wins over P5 opponents, and consistent wins over in-state competition.

Still, all signs point to this being a very good hire and a very good move in the right direction.
Where in my post did I appoint anyone anything? The purpose was to give perspective to the monumental nature of our recent commitment to finally establish a real program. This is the first step. The actual results will hopefully follow. If they don't, nobody can use resources as an excuse. Money is not the only thing. But it's definitely a thing. And we have now covered that base.

I love the direction and commitment that Dr. Savoie & Dr. Maggard are taking our program. Ultimately, the hiring of Coach Napier will be judged on wins and losses and wins and losses alone!
    I am cautiously very optimistic.

    Winning combination:

A: Money, lots of money well spent
B: Tradition, you simply have to have a great tradition. Without it you’re climbing a mountain, thus money for mountain climbing equipment.
C: Great coaches, again money well spent. Coaches get the best players and know how to use them.
D: Great AD, and administration. Without them you end up like Tennessee.

Tennessee was the laughing stock of college football for a couple of weeks, but in the end, I think they ended up with a really good hire in Jeremy Pruitt. And he's putting together an impressive staff.

For all it's flaws this world, this country, this state is a very wonderful place, life in general is much better if your an optimist. Try it more often.

our coordinators will make more than 225. Will Hall was making in that range. Sale is making 350 at AZ St.

    Don't think he's taking a pay cut.

And, if Napier keeps more than one assistant, I'll be surprised.

Same here! I’m in wait and see mode. I’m not ready to crown the guy who’s never stepped on campus as our savior.

Of course he can take a pay cut with demotion, or he
maybe he works for less elsewhere. Don't think Hall in position of strength.

He does the same thing about my spectacular thong strutting. Cajunrunner insults what he loves most. I love it. It inspires me to strap it on a little tighter... and sling it even fancier.
