This. We were better in every facet. Beat the Nechs and the refs and the zoo they call a student section, wire to wire.

    It was glorious

I was there, and to me it looked like they came out sluggish and disinterested. They did play with a purpose in the second half and got the crowd into it.
The Tech crowd was very disappointing maybe 1500. That dump makes the Cajundome feel like MSG!

Tech might think CUSA is better, but at the end of the season, both will be one bid leagues.

The Rustonites believe a lot of things that simply are not true!

Watched the game from home. Thought your guy didn't make needed adjustments, where our guy does a good job of that most games. The Bracey guy is good, but didn't really see anyone else that was a real problem for us. Shame on your guys for not being ready to play, that's on the coach.

So....will this renewed series continue or do y'all feel its best to let sleeping dogs lie?

I think there is one more game next year in the Cajundome that's remaining in the series, but I would definitely like to continue this as well. While others have come and gone, I think this is our longest series that have provided plenty of entertainment on both sides so it would be a shame for it to be lost again.

Boykins is really good. He did not show it last night, but remember he scored 21 vs us last yar and was 7-10 on 3's. Boykins and Bracey make a really good backcourt, but we shut Boykins down, I think that was the game plan. Keep Boykins from going off and make someone else beat you.

I also like the Freshman Exavian Christon allot. I think he is going to be a good player for them in the long run.

One thing that deserves mention that I have not seen yet is the defense of Marquetti. He guarded Boykin the whole night and held him to eight points. Boykin is the guy who had seven threes against us in the Dome last year. Marquetti is turning out to be a key guy for us on both ends of the floor.
Marquetti has really come on the last few games. I was worried we'd missed on him. Hope he continues to contribute on both sides of the ball!

Gant is by far and away the best of the 3 new transfers. He's very impressive!

Stroman is a true PG, but the guy needs to work on his FT shooting. Hope he's putting in the time.

Russell has difficulty getting his own shot. He should improve as the season progresses, but so far, he's not been as much of a factor as I had hoped.

Hardy seems to make more bad plays than good.

Bartley is either hot or cold. When hot, look out. When cold, sit him down. But...he plays hard ALL THE TIME, and that is a huge plus.

Stove is probably our steadiest player. Very solid.

Washington seems to be making a higher % of shots at the rim, thankfully. He missed a lot over the past couple of seasons, which was strange because he seemed to make all of them his FR year. He has worked on his FT shooting, but still tosses more than strokes it at times.

Miller seems to be the odd man out this season, not getting a lot of minutes. I do expect there will be games where he's a match-up problem and he'll produce. He physically looks great.

Davis must be in the doghouse or is not producing in practice. He had a really good showing in one of they Cayman Island games. Thought we'd be seeing more of him.

Stalcup wasn't even used last night which says a lot.

The 3 transfers are as avertised. I wish Stroman would shoot a little more, Gant is a beast and Marquetti gets better every time I watch him.

Russell is playing out of position allot. He is playing allot at the point and that is causing him some issues. He will definitely improve on this as Marquetti plays more point when Stroman is out.

Hardy is a streaky shooter he will get his, but remember he is only a Sophomore.

Bartley is a leader and even when he is not playing well you need him on the court, he is a solid player all around.

Stove is more explosive than ever. He is my favorite player on this team. He is a matchup nightmare due to his athletism and strength.

Washington is just day in and day out the same guy. He is a 10 and 10 guy every night. I love the way he plays.

Miller fustrates me. What I mean by that is he forces allot, He can be really good, but sometimes when the shot is not there don't force your drive, kick it back out for a better shot.

Davis, I am not sure what is up here. Davis really looked good at the tale end of last year, hasn't been the same this year.

Stalcup will get his minutes when we need him. He will probably end up playing 1/2 of the games, he will play when we need a guy to spell Gant, Washington and Miller.

I don't know if it's chronic, I admit I haven't been able to see many games this year. And had to run out for most of the second half to coach a biddy game. But we seemed to give up a lot of easy buckets to penetrating guards. Has that been normal?

Other than that we looked like the far superior team both in talent and coaching.

Yes, it appears that our biggest weakness is penetrating guards play. Our backcourt guards seem to play off the ball too much and give up space which leads to easy baskets. The good news is that we are big in the middle when Gant and Washington are in the game, we have to play better help defense or communicate more once the guard gets past his man.
