John and I attended USL at the same time. Met him several times in the upper deck of Cajun Field when fans were very sparse. Longtime Cajun fan that always gave valuable insight to Cajun sports. I always looked forward to reading his posts and seeing his perspective on issues. RIP John. Cajun Nation has lost a good one.

    Rest in Peace Mr. Cali.

I'm ____ed and sad at the same time. He was such a trooper. He was so close to seeing Louisiana finally live up to all that promise. I hope God gives him lifetime front row seats for all Louisiana sports.

Don't screw this up Dr. Maggard.

    Oh my, this strikes.

John gave me volumes of advice on running this site, some public lots private, and for that I am permanently grateful.

    Miss you CC

RIP to a huge Cajun fan. California Cajun was always the voice of reason even back to the Delphi days. He will truly be missed.

So sad. He was a good man and will be missed. Some sort of accident?

Cali was one of my favorite posters and we shared the same vision and postings regarding so many issues around UL. Tragic to die so suddenly at such an early age. It won't be the same on this board without him. God bless you, John.
