Baseball changed a few years ago have to sit out If you transfer 4 to 4 .. We have a guy from TCU that is sitting out this year

its not cruel to me. an athlete makes a commitment to a university or college, not a coach, by signing a letter of intent. its a contract. no where in that LOI does it tell the university, i will only play at your school if coach_____ is the head coach. the university pays for the scholarships, not the coaches. the university is making an investment in that athlete. the university should have the right to protect its investments. if the athlete wants to transfer, the penalty is to sit out a year. the intent of the penalty is to try and keep programs stable and not have 300,000 student athletes transferring and creating chaos in athletic programs each year. i believe that all sports should have that rule. i have no idea why softball is treated differently.
