Thread: RIP Gator Grunt

  1. Default RIP Gator Grunt

A good man, a true Ragin Cajun, Randy Breaux. He passed away yesterday. Hope I'm not out of place, but I just wanted to recognize him. I was fortunate enough to meet Randy a few years ago (via our shared passion for railing against the admin, funny enough) and he was always fun to talk with and really enjoyable to be around. Spent a good bit of time with him and speaking with him over the last couple years. Everytime we'd part ways, he'd always say "Keep givin' em hell Josh. It's working".

Tough loss for our community. RIP Gator Grunt. We'll keep em on their toes for you my friend.

Sounds like a great guy. Will keep him and his family in prayer especially during this joyous season as we anticipate the coming of the Christ child.

We will grieve for him, but not as others do who have no hope. For this season reminds us that we have hope of salvation. And for someone so devoted to Cajuns athletics we now have hope of good things to come.

Randy Breaux was a personal friend of mine for 40 years and the best man in my wedding. Yesterday was a very tough day for me personally. He leaves behind one son in Engineering at UL and his daughter is in law school at Loyola New Orleans. He will be at Martin & Castille Funeral Home- Southside.
